SCT PowerCAMPUS is a scalable, enterprise software application that unifies teaching, learning and administration for institutions of higher education. PowerCAMPUS is a true client/server solution that utilizes an open database design. A Microsoft Certified Solution, SCT PowerCAMPUS utilizes Microsoft's SQL Server DBMS, MS Windows 2000 Server, MS Windows 2000/XP clients, and MS Internet Information Server. SCT PowerCAMPUS also operates on the Novell NetWare network operating system.

Sybase's PowerBuilder, Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft .NET Framework are the core application development tools for SCT PowerCAMPUS. PowerCAMPUS Vista Views and Reports provide powerful ad-hoc reporting capabilities. Vista users are guided in their search for data by a query wizard, and they can determine the format of their output down to the color and font. With Microsoft SQL Server as the PowerCAMPUS solutions database, system administrators can also choose from a number of third-party reporting tools, from MS Access and MS Excel to Crystal Reports, SPSS and SAS. A system utility called Magic Easel allows authorized users or system administrators to make changes quickly and easily to data-entry screens and standard-report formats. A data importing and exporting utility, PowerUp, facilitates standard uploads for admissions information coming from the ETS, as well as standards-compliant data from other sources. PowerUp allows you to do the mapping and conversion so the data comes into your system cleanly and ends up in the right place.
