Using Microsoft Excel to Create FRS Transactions

          A little over 10 years ago there was a presentation at the FRS Conference on the use of Excel spreadsheets to create FRS transaction batches.  The greatest use of the spreadsheets has been with implementations of the Fixed Assets system but the spreadsheets also come in handy with repetitive transaction and anytime you have a lot of data to analyze and enter as transactions.  FRS provides transaction data layouts in the report SBA050.  The Excel spreadsheets provide for a Data Entry Form (which also produces a transaction report) and then adds additional sheets to create the batch.  The session will include an overview of the process, copies of sample worksheets, and a discussion of the formulas used in the worksheets.
