Louisville to Host Inaugural SETA Midwest

Conference planning is currently underway for the inaugural SETA Midwest Conference to be held April 24-26, 2005 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Louisville, Kentucky. All Banner and Plus users in the SunGard SCT family are invited to attend the conference, and if possible, to present a session that will support and inform other SunGard SCT users.

PROGRAM: Lorraine Kitchner, Registrar at Saint Mary’s College (IN) is serving as Conference Chair, and John Goerke, Senior Director of Information Systems and Services at Miami University (OH) is the Program Chair. The SETA Board Liaison is Julie Lorton Rowland from Ivy Tech (IN). Together, they have assembled a well-qualified group of individuals to serve as track chairs to develop a stimulating and informative program. The SETA Midwest Program Committee consists of

CONFERENCE FEE: The Early Bird conference registration fee, currently set at $250 for the 2 ½ day conference, will include over 40 sessions in the 8 tracks, General Session presentations by representatives of SunGard SCT that will highlight the Opening Day activities, admission to the Exhibit Hall, breaks, and planned conference meals. Pre-conference workshops are also planned at a modest additional cost. On-line registration is open now; deadline for the Early Bird discount is March 21, 2005.

HOTEL INFO: Conveniently located off I-64, the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center offers the usual in-room amenities, free high-speed internet access, a Tropidome with indoor pool, sauna, games and exercise equipment, a 24-hour business center, as well as free parking and shuttle service to/from downtown Louisville. Standard room rate is $79/night (plus tax), or $99/night (plus tax) for an executive suite. Room reservation deadline (for guaranteed rate) is 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 16. The Clarion has recently announced that all rooms now have high-speed Internet access complimentary in the hotel lobby and guest rooms.
